Sicily   Land of Myth, Folklore & Tradition  November 8 - 15, 2008    
Ancient theaters, temples, mountains and sea, we are very pleased to be in Sicily for the 2nd year.  We'll paint en plein air in lovely formal gardens and at the seashore, then sketch among the ruins of a Greco-Roman Theatre - all providing wonderful opportunities to experience this intriguing Island.

You'll stay in splendid Taormina, a lovely jewel facing smoldering Mount Etna and the Ionian Sea of Homer and the Cyclops.  Enjoy traditional Sicilian cuisine and wines.  You'll come to understand why it is said "Without Sicily, Italy cannot be fully understood. It is here one finds the key to all things" J.W. Goethe 

The workshop includes:
. 7 nights, 8 days at Villa Schuler in Taormina with private gardens and panoramic views.  All rooms have private baths.
. Daily breakfast at the hotel. 5 lunches, 5 dinners provided in our selected restaurant.
. 6 1/2 days of Art Instruction.  Work in oil, watercolor or pastels.  All Levels.
. Demos in oils; individual critiques; one-on-one painting & drawing instruction  
. Painting in Taormina, Giardini Naxos on the sea and other selected sites. 
. Open day for your own pursuits. We'll assist with arrangement. 
. Transportation to/from Airport and Hotel may be arranged in advance at approximately 75 Euros each way.
. *Special Workshop Price: Artist $2,850 & Non-painting Guest $2,450 Doubles.  Single supplement charge: $375 p/p 
. Air not included. 

Groups of 12 - Plan your own Workshop or Paint-out:
Special group Workshops available.  Select your desired location and dates and we will develop a customized art workshop plan for people who want to travel as a group.  We also offer reduced rates for paint-outs, non-instructed programs which involve everyone just painting together. A minimum of 12 people is required.
