Sam shares his passion for classical drawing and painting techniques by providing art instruction in a caring, supportive manner.
His popular international painting workshops have drawn beginner to advanced artists from the US, Canada, Europe and the Caribbean.
D'Ambruoso Studios' Traveling Palette Art Workshops™ are held in Tuscany, Amalfi and Sicily for landscape painting instruction as well as in Cape Cod, MA, Old Lyme, CT and Hawaii. These trips are designed for small groups of plein air artists (no more than 12) working in a creative, supportive atmosphere. Constructive, individual critiques and instruction are available as part of each day's painting session.
Art Instruction Programs in Connecticut Art classes in landscape, still life and portraiture are designed for the serious beginner, intermediate and advanced artist and are available at studios in Middlebury and Watertown, CT. Sam's art instruction centers on developing the sound drawing skills and painting techniques needed to create compelling paintings. Individual attention and critiques are given at each session.
