This course is designed for beginners to advanced artists. We will cover a host of painting principles with special emphasis on composition, perspective, understanding form, and color theory. The still life will be set for 3 to 4 weeks. We will be concentrating on still lifes of greater complexity. We will concentrate on the basic structure of developing the human head, drawing principles that will help attain the likeness of the person, color theory and color mixing of flesh colors. We will be drawing and painting from life. Sam D'Ambruoso will be painting with the class as well as completing a number of short demos to highlight certain points in the construction of the portrait. There will also be extensive one-on-one instruction for each participant. This program is designed for beginners to advanced.
